Age of Irony

This figure is based on archaic Greek sculpture. I have been using source imagery from this period as symbols from where western sculpture has its beginnings.
This work has the appearance of being extremely heavy cast iron and held in a potential position of danger or damage. In reality it is only about four pounds of polystyrene with a very thin coat of rustable paint. The theatrical nature of this work is indicative of the consciousness where entertainment has for the most part usurped culture.
